2006 IGERT Project Meeting Followup
Well, the meeting was interesting. I got to hear a great talk by fellow University of Michigan scholar Jeffrey K. MacKie-Mason about the School of Information's STIET (Socio-Technical Infrastructure for Electronic Transactions) program.
Plus, I learned all about the NSF's new "CyberInfrastructure" trajectory. Turns out they plan to support the creation of open-source tools to promote academic cooperation.
Plus, I got to meet the great Kenneth Oye, author/editor of Cooperation Under Anarchy, a book which changed my life and convinced me that governance under anarchy was possible.
